Happy New Year!
I can’t believe how quickly 2022 passed. But I’m thankful for another year with (and for) my family. I hope yours is fairing well and that January 1st, was a good start to 2023.
For the last three years, my focus was cranking out the word count. Polishing my query letter and the first pages of a romance WIP (more on that one day). Although I read a lot of non-fiction (craft books), the fiction reads were reduced to kindle samples. In the last couple of months, I bought some books that have been high on the Booktube, Booktok, Bookstagram lists.
I had to use a list randomizer because it was hard to select where to start. I also developed a better annotating system which I’ll smooth out this year. Lastly, I’m focused on hardcover editions this year as well.
The first three hardcover books of the year are: The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue, The Guest List, and Legendborn.
I’d already commenced reading A Blade So Black with my nephew, but will only read it with him, so between the three above I’ll conquer this book as well. If you have either, please join me, if not, check them out!
